I had the great pleasure of meeting Jeff a few times when he visited the uk with the lovely Ruth to see Dreadzone. I found him a warm and gentle soul, one of those people you hoped you'd have the opportunity to get to know better. Sadly, it's always later than you think. R.I.P. Jeff and I'll see you on that ledge but not just yet mate. Love to Ruth and all the family at this sad time xxx

I only met Jeff once at a Dreadzone gig in London. When you meet a good soul you just know. He was one such person. Our love and thoughts go out to his family and friends from me and all of us in the House of Dread and the Dreadzone family xx

I met Jeff at a Dreadzone gig in London. What a likeable cool guy. I immediately fell into an easy conversation, a rapport like we’d known each other for years and we were catching up to see how we were doing and how life was. Things we had in common weren’t obvious, that came later although we barely skimmed the surface, and it didn’t seem that important anyway. Jeff was just such a nice bloke. Interesting and interested. Hope Ruth can look back on the good times and raise a smile at special memories, and be sure she’s in our hearts.

May you rest in peace. I didn’t know Jeff, but all that spoke about Him and is wife Ruth spoke lovingly of them both.
May your family and friends find strength together to celebrate his life.

I am so sad. Jeff Bailey, aka Chuck Daily, was a key component of "The Fun Patrol" a co inventor of the Bar B Tour and an occasional victim of a Bar B Coma. The 12 gauge biscuit blast remains a fond memory and the underwater mountain bike races - incredible.
What will we all do? He's floating around having a cocktail with Carl Beck I am sure. Best of the Best. Decades of memories. Accused of being a proponent of the Keith Richards workout I can attest he never had a British accent.
So sorry we were so far away when you took flight buddy but we have no fear - see you round the horn my friend.

Jeff was a good friend and classmate from fourth grade through high school. We frequently crossed paths while boating on the Detroit River. He was a genuinely good person, with a positive attitude. He will be fondly and lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all who came in contact with him.

I didn't know him too well, but my interactions with him at the bike shop and at the mountain bike races had a good impression on me. His character as a decent person, creative, industrious and support of the cycling community were what made Houston a more decent place to live. Multifaceted people like Jeff don't come around too often.

Jeff, Don Gutz & I jammed at his bike shop in Wyandotte in 1981 where my life changed. Jeff was an icon in the community with Wyandotte Cyclery & our music studio. Many fond memories as we wrote original music, partied at Captain Arabs & hung out together on all the tricked out bikes & cruisers...,,Wild Times in Wyandotte. He will always be remembered for that bright smile of his!
