Laura Alicia "Mimi" Muriel, 63, born November 20,1956 to Manuel and Olivia Robles in Laredo,Texas passed away June 1, 2020 in Houston,Texas.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Robles Sr., mother Olivia Peña Robles; brother Manuel Robles Jr. (Manolo), and niece Yvonne Marie Hernandez.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Muriel, grandson Adrian Jacob Muriel; sister Martha Norma (Robles) Hernandez, sister Gloria Irma (Robles) Guerrero and husband Robert Guerrero, brother Arturo Benito Robles; Nieces Cynthia Leticia Hernandez, Sandra Denise Guerrero, Nephews Robert Robles, and Alejandro Robles, Sister In-laws, Diana Robles, Josie Robles; along several cousins and a long list of friends. Last, but not least her greatest love, Baby.

Laura made many memories with her loved ones. As a young woman she moved to Illinois, where she had her son Daniel Muriel on September 29,1975 before she moved back to Texas to raise him in Houston,TX.

After graduating from Massey Business School she began a career as a support analyst. A love for the ocean soon brought her to travel to California, where some of her most cherished memories were made on the beaches of San Diego.

Laura “Mimi” Muriel was many things; a daughter, mother, and grandmother, a sister, aunt, and friend. She was also an explorer, lover of music and all beauty in nature.Most of all she was a strong, independent woman who lived her life authentic to herself; anyone with the privilege of meeting her has quite a story to remember her by and shall hold it close.
