I recently shared a meal with Eddie, his beautiful wife Pam and our best friend Jim. The meal was great, but nothing compares to the fajitas that Eddie made for my birthday last year. People are still talking about them and wanting more of Eddie’s special touch. He will be missed on so many levels, husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Missing you already Eddie.

I just spoke to Eddie on the phone a couple weeks ago about meat for a bbq competition. I was heartbroken when I heard the news. Eddie was a great man and a hell of a cook. My heart goes out to his family.

Eddie was a great man and deputy Sheriff, he would always lend a hand. When I was in rehab he would come and visit me and bring me homemade food. I will never forget you brother Eddie, the world lost an angel on earth. God speed sir.

I was so happy to reconnect with Eddie a few years back by helping out as a small sponsor for his BBQ Cook Off Team that he was involved with. He sure loved being involved on this team. I actually new Eddie in grade school - through High School. What a stand up guy. I just visited with him on the phone a couple weeks ago. I am so heartbroken over his passing. May God comfort and carry you all though these most difficult times. May he Rest In Peace. He will be missed by me.

To the family and friends of Eddie Okonski Jr. - it's a real shame that Eddie passed so young, but he is no longer in any kind of pain, being in the arms of God! My condolences to all.

Eddie words cannot express how much you are loved and how much you will be missed! It has been my great honor to have you as my brother-in-law. I keep seeing you smile and laugh, pulling a prank or just making everyone laugh. I will miss your quick phone calls, your world class BBQ and sharing cooking ideas and tips with you. I am so very grateful for the years we had together. I imagine you are up in heaven smiling down on us all. We’ve been looking heavenward too. God clearly needed your big caring heart in heaven with him. I look forward to the day we will see you again! Love Deb

We have lost a true gem and we are heartbroken. I will cherish all the good times and laughs that we have shared over the years. It has been my honor to be your sister-in-law and I will forever be proud of you. You will never be forgotten and the memories of your good nature, kind and caring heart, and your quick wit will always bring a smile to my face. Love you beyond words, Eddie. Keep a watch over us and visit us often in our dreams. Until we meet again.
