As I watched Pilar King Carrigan’s funeral, it brought back my memories of her as a child and teenager, and my tears for the ones who loved her dearly here in this life. She is now with her Lord and Savior, and her Earth father Bill King. I was her second cousin, but she lived away from NC all of her life. Lord bring comfort to Gary, Isabella “Izzy”, Dominic and Sydney. Also, wrap your loving arms around her uncles and aunts, cousins, her dear friends, and especially to Kris King Olive, her cousin and lifelong best friend, as they grew up together and were more like sisters in every sense of the word. Comfort Kris’s broken heart and help heal her pain, for they will be together again one day. Absent from the body, present with our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:7. Pilar is always with them in their hearts, where her memories reside. Pilar will be sorely missed by all who knew her. God bless you all. With love and prayers... peace be with you.

I graduated from Clear Creek HS with Pilar. Everyone knew her (or knew of her). She carried herself with confidence and paved the way for new trends & styles at our school. Pilar truly was one-of-a-kind and the world feels dimmer now, but I know she'll still be the brightest star in the night sky!

The loss of Pilar will be felt by many. Her children her family and her friends. I remember meeting her for the first time when Kris and I were married.I remember her being paired up with one of my friends to walk the isle. Our family’s shared many memories over the years as our children grew.My best memories of her is coming to Texas and staying that week to share in that special moment of Isabella’s wedding.
Heavenly Father we ask for peace and comfort for Pilar’s family and friends.Lord we ask this in Jesus name,Amen

My sweet cousin Pilar. The sister I never had. I love you more than I can write on here. Growing up together laughing and enjoying the best of times as young girls learning about music, clothes, makeup, and movie stars. You will be a one of a kind angel. Funny, witty, creative, crazy, silly, listener...
So much to write about you. The girl in boots on a beach. Love from North Carolina. I love you Pepper!
Love, Salt

I remember as if it were yesterday when the kids (cousins) were small and we would translate for them to understand each other, as we had just moved back to Texas from Argentina. Priceless memories.. Our condolences for your kids, Gary and family.May you Rest In Peace and become a guardian angel for your loved ones.

Our hearts ache for Pilar’s family and friends. It is said that grief is the price we pay for love and I know the community, that Pilar was always a shinning star in, is grief stricken. Her wondrous, super star persona will be immensely missed.
