Obituary of Gaitha Ruth Jones Walton

Gaitha Ruth Jones Walton, age 77, of Spring, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, the 20th of April 2021.  She was born on July 14, 1943 in Gorman, Texas. Her parent’s were Alma Eloise and William Foster.

Gaitha was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Gary Duane Giddens.

Gaitha is survived by her loving husband of over 48 years, Billy Wayne Walton; her children, Mary Elizabeth Adian and husband, Drew; and Sunni Joe Cook and her husband, Robert; five grandchildren, Elyssa Renee Turvan, Kendyll Brooke Turvan, Cheyenne Walton Sellers, Robert Matthew Cook and Tyler Daniel Cook; and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Rose Turvan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gaitha worked at AISD Child Nutrition for 30+ years.

Gaitha was a real lady who loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great-granddaughter!

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 12:00 noon, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 22800 Aldine Westfield Road in Houston, Texas.  No funeral procession will take place.  Gaitha will be laid to rest at a later date at South Park cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
