Obituary of Calvin Eugene Weldon

Calvin "C.E." Eugene Weldon, age 70, of Seabrook, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in an automobile accident.  He was born November 28, 1951 in Bay City, Texas to the late Eugene "Vic" Weldon and Ruby Morphew Weldon.

Calvin joins his parents, Eugene and Ruby Weldon; his sister, Louise Bitner; and his brother, Glen Weldon in their heavenly home.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Molina of Seabrook; his daughters and their spouses, Stephanie and Jerry Williams of Houston, Texas; and Kristin and Charles Hignight of Cypress, Texas.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle Van Buren, Mason Hignight, Lauren Williams, Lindsey Williams and Kinsley Hignight; his siblings and their spouses, Lois and Bob Yawn of Havana, Arkansas, LaVerne Lowery of Havana, Arkansas, Elaine and Carl Cole of Collins, Mississippi, Margaret and Jim Greenfield of Vancouver, Washington, and David and Cathy Weldon of Victoria, Texas; step-sons, Robert Molina and wife, Brittany of Boston, Massachusetts, Isaac Barea Pena of Seabrook, Texas, and great-grandsons, Robert and Jayden.  He is also survived by his dogs, Buzzy and Sassy.

Calvin was an officer with the Houston Police Department for 39 years, and loved his time flying helicopters and helping the community.  He had a huge heart and loved his family and friends and caring for his dogs.    

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Covenant Chapel, 4949 Caroline Street in Houston, Texas.  Calvin will be laid to rest in Arkansas at a later date..
