Such an incredible man!!! He was always my dominos partner! We loved playing 42 or 88! Along with the rest of family. We may have cheated just a little bit, with our shoutouts!!! But it was always a really good time! Also one of the best grandpas around!!! So glad Adylynn and myself got to see him before he passed. He will truly be missed!!!!

Dearest Okonski Family,
Our hearts are full of sadness! Uncle Ed was full of life and always had a smile on his face. He had a gentleness about him that could warm your soul. I pray that he knows how much we love him for always being there for our family no matter what we needed help with. I know Our Lord and Savior has greeted him with open arms in his Kingdom of Heaven.
We continue to pray for his family for Peace, Love and The Greatest of memories! Love. Sandra Nevares and family

I have so many incredible memories that I will treasure forever with this amazing family. Ed and Janie raised kind and very loving children. I was blessed to have met them all. I learned the skill of playing dominoes and Ed was my partner several times and we won a couple of games! Being around Ed with his charming smile was a breathe of fresh air he always had me laughing and enjoying all the family adventures. My hugs and prayers go out to the entire family.
But I know I’m my heart that Ed and Eddie will be together keeping everyone in heaven dancing, laughing with joy!

Mr. Ed, "JaJa", as I liked to call him, was and always will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, and great wisdom. I have very fond memories of talking with him around the KC Hall and KC events and bowling tournaments throughout the many years I have known him. Thanks for the memories, JaJa. You will truly be missed but never forgotten. Our sincere condolences and prayers for the entire Okonski Family and extended family. Rest In Peace, my friend. You certainly earned your eternal rest!...Charlie & Barbara Brossman, Conroe, Tx

I will always remember my Dear Brother Ed, not only for his easy going character, many friendships, and achievements that everyone is familiar with in his adult life, but also for our early years on the farm. Ed and I were the only siblings for the first 14 yrs of his life and 9 years of my life, doing what country boys do, working hard during the day and playing homemade outdoor games late at night, with neighbor kids joining in. So many fond and fun memories were created during this time.
A highlight late at night was playing 42 dominoes with Mamma and Daddy on the kitchen table with a kerosene lamp for lighting. I was about 5 yrs old when they taught me how to play.
Another highlight was night time hunting and trapping for Raccoons and Possums with an occasional Fox and Mink and selling the hides. These were the good ol days.
Ed taught me many things in our early years. He even tried to teach me about the birds and bees. Ha!
Even in his early years, Ed displayed the same character traits of his later life. If anyone needed help or advice, he was glad to help.
"Edziu" was not only the older brother I looked up to, but also my best friend which bonded us for life.
I will miss you very much Edziu. Keep the Pierzyna warm.
Thank You and God Bless You my Dear Brother.
May You Rest IN Peace.

Grandpa O was such a sweet man. I enjoyed the "Good Friday" fish fries at his house! He never met a stranger. He was definitely loved by all. At least we know he lived a very good, happy, and fulfilled life with his family and friends. Now he is in no pain and enjoying eternity with Eddie Jr barbequing and playing dominoes with all them other Pollacks! May he rest in peace.
