Obituary of Frankie Zajicek

Frankie Zajicek passed away peacefully in his sleep in Houston, TX on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.  Frankie was born to Frank and Louise Zajicek in Buckholts, TX on April 16, 1930. He graduated from Buckholts High School in 1948 before enlisting in the Air Force.  Frankie was in the Air Force for 28 years where he met and married his wife of 50 years, Kaneko Zajicek.

 

He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  Frankie had the ability to balance making people laugh with showing great compassion for others.  Through the years, Frankie enjoyed fishing, gardening, sports, dominos, and all things related to his family.

 

Frankie is survived by his wife, Kaneko; his son and spouse, Edward and Colleen Zajicek of Houston, grandchildren Macey and Elle Zajicek, his brother Woodrow Zajicek of Tyler, and sisters Leona Turner of Kerrville, and Carol Jean Baggerly of Waxahachie plus many beloved nieces and nephews. 

 

Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Raymond, Albert, Rudolph, Edwin, and Ben Zajicek and his sisters Lydia Mewhinney and Sidonia Svoboda.Pall bearers will be Bobby, Larry, Mike Zajicek, Robert Riddle, and Mike Ritchey.

 

Frankie will be laid to rest at 1:45 ap.m., on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Houston National Cemetery with military honors.

 

The family requests that those who wish may consider making a donation to their favorite charity, as Frankie was known for donating to any cause that asked.
