Obituary of Pablo M. Estrada

Pablo Munoz Estrada, Sr. was born in Arcola, Texas to Eusebio and Carolina Estrada, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2022, in Missouri City, Texas. Pablo was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.

Pablo worked as a Machinist for Texas Instruments in the 1970’s and then began his career and retired from the State of Texas where he worked as a Corrections Officer.  Pablo was a kind, humble, quiet, and generous person with a beautiful heart and soul.

He loved spending time with his family and his favorite pass-time was playing poker with family.  He also enjoyed sports with family including volleyball on Sundays as well as playing softball and barbecuing with family.  He was a proud father, uncle, grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great grandfather to one.

He is preceded in death by his parents Eusebio Munoz Estrada, Sr., and Carolina Flores Estrada.  Sisters Anita Trevino, Amelia Garcia, and brother Eusebio M. Estrada, Jr.

He is survived by his children, Pablo Munoz Estrada, Jr., Diane Mahoney and husband Brian Mahoney, Patrick Munoz Estrada, and wife Marcy Estrada.  His grandchildren include Gabriel, Aaron and wife Adriana, Matthew, Joshua, Maile, Calvin and Kaleb and great granddaughter Alayna.

Niece Laura Saenz and son Justin Torres and Nephew Caco Saenz and wife Laura, daughter Marijayne, and son Stone.  He is also survived by his sisters Ophelia Houts, Modesta Mora, and Lucy Estrada and his brother Tommy Estrada and numerous nieces and nephews.  He touched the lives of many people including his high school friends, coworkers, VFW friends as well as many of the staff members at his apartment. He will be missed by many.

A visitation and recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 11:00 am, August 31, 2022, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Community, 6502 Country Rd 48, Manvel, Texas.

 

Pablo will be laid to rest at 11:30 am, September 1, 2022 at Houston National Cemetery
