Obituary of Patricia Gail Mood

The beautiful, kind, and loving spirit of Patricia Gail Mood was welcomed into God’s Kingdom on August 24, 2023. Patricia was born November 16, 1937, in Dallas, TX to Inez (Edge) and Linden Lamar “Jack” Moore.  Preceded in death by her parents and Richard Allen Mohun.  Pat was always present for those she held dear with her quick wit and caring attitude, always ready to help with any task or chat about the latest news and events.  She could spend hours in her garden or lost in any number of her favorite books.  Pat was reunited with her high school sweetheart Preston Mood in 1991 and they later married. Together they loved entertaining family and friends, collecting unique art, and traveling with friends. 

Pat, the most loving and devoted wife, mother, and beloved “grandmommy” is survived by her husband, Preston; children, Michelle Overbey, and David Mohun (Kristen); grandchildren, Linden, Lucas, Coleman, Abigail, and Marshall; brothers, Marshall (Kay), Kerry (Carolyn); stepchildren, Margaret (Richard), Patricia (Jerry), Melinda (Tom), Joseph, Katherine; step-grandchildren, Andrew (Kathlene), Jackson, Sidney (Kenneth), Linden, Mary Lu, Caitlin, Elissa; great-grandchild, Beatrix; and numerous other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77024 on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
