My memories are vast and heartfelt. We became friends through our connection with St Francis church. Both of our sons were Boy Scouts. While the meetings were going on in the scout house we would talk till the meetings were over. What? The meetings is over? As the years went by our families would play together. Camping at bastrup st park the kids running wild. Good times. He had voice, told him he could join a rock band. We shared a love of music. I don’t know anyone who knows of Leonard cohen. That didn’t hear it from me. I even converted my wife Kathy Told her to listen his album three times before she makes an opinion Quote. I’m a convert! My biggest regret is getting out of with the family. Having them at our house in wimberley floating in the blanco river. Kurt. I’ll be thinking of you every time I get the innertube out for a kflost You

Q: What will you never forget about Kurt? A: Mr Fredland is truly the best SFDS church singer I know. I remember as a young kid turning around to find the voice I heard above all others and was shocked to see my friends dad behind the pipes. He was really a talented singer (and thankfully not shy about it). I also visited the fredland house nearly everyday growing up; I can’t tell you how many times I dreamed of that Spitfire convertible screaming down the streets. I’m fairly certain Kurt’s cruising down the streets of Heaven now with the top down tipping his hat to the family. And I can only hope he’s saving a ride around the neighborhood for me. Mr Fredland also joined the puzzle crew of 2016. Some people were focused on politics, but Kurt understood that this puzzle was top priority. He had a knack for walking by and in about 3 seconds finding the piece we had spent 20 minutes trying to find. He could’ve given a Ted talk on the how to’s of puzzling. Albert said it best when he mentioned you don’t have to know Kurt well to understand how great a human he was. You can see his contributions to the world when you look at the Hollywood worthy romance with the brilliant Nina or the grandkiddos like Dolly. I often look to the Fredland’s as my sense of ethics; my uncle even calls Jon ‘the good guy.’ Kurt and Nina really know how to assemble a family. Love you Fredland’s.

We are deeply saddened to hear of loss of Kurt Fredland. Though I did not know Kurt well, I know he raised a good man in Jon. After reading more about Kurt, he definitely left a large positive impact while earthside as a son, brother, husband, father, "Papa," friend and great human being. He is a fine example for me and others to follow to radiate positivity and good for everyone around us. We love you and will be thinking of the Fredland Family. Love, The Vuongs
